Sustainability 

Fertilizer Programs 

Celtic Roots, Inc. uses our years of experience and expertise to adapt to environmental factors in order to be most effective with our applications. We provide a unique annual Lawn Treatment Program which contributes to enviornmental stewardship by using a 6 month, controlled-released fertilizer technology.  The fertilizer is formulated to deliver nutrients to the turf in a uniform, consistent way, where every blade of grass gets the nutrition it needs when it needs it most in comparison to a conventional fertilizer that is applied every 4-6 weeks.  It is less susceptible to leaching and run-off problems, thus reducing harmful impacts on the environment.

Mosquito / Tick Control

Our safe,100% all-natural Mosquito/Tick Control Program uses an environmentally friendly product which will also kill and repel insects such as ants, cockroaches, fleas, flies, gnats, Japanese beetles, mites, no-see-ums, stink bugs, and thrips. However, it is harmless to beneficial insects such as butterflies, bees, and ladybugs!

The product is applied with a backpack mist blower to the base of the house, over flower beds, ground cover (pachysandra, ivy, periwinkle, etc.), shrubs and tress up to approximately 6 feet high, leaving a pleasant cedar scent. 

​

Monthly applications start in the spring and continue through the fall, consisting of approximately 7 total annual visits. 

Lawn Maintenance and Turf Services

Celtic Roots, Inc. provides weekly lawn contracts that include; mowing, trimming and blowing excess clippings services. We follow these proven guidelines to ensure your property remains healthy and beautiful:

 

  • Mow every 4 - 7 days

  • Remove no more than 1/3 of grass height per cut

  • Change mowing patterns to avoid compacted soil and ruts

  • Maintain sharp blades for healthy turf 

  • Mulch clippings back into the lawn
